Witnessing to Hope - Our Challenge in Difficult Times

This is a guided retreat for women religious, using the prophets, Mark’s Gospel, Paul's Letter to the Philippians, music, art, and even some poetry.
Each day will include morning prayer, 2 presentations, celebration of Mass, evening prayer, and lots of silence in the newly expanded and renovated Jesuit Retreat Center. The 57 acres of woods, trails, and meadows will be alive for this early summer retreat. A good time, place, and retreat to celebrate the amazing love of our God!

Fr. Matt Roche, SJ is a full-time spiritual director at the Jesuit Retreat Center. A native of Lancaster, PA, he entered the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in 1973 after graduating from Villanova and doing additional graduate work at Colgate University and Fordham University. He was ordained in 1981. He studied theology at Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, MA. and journalism at Syracuse University. He spent 9 years at Mt. Manresa Retreat House on Staten Island. He has been doing spiritual direction for 35 years.
Patrick Cleary-Burns is a graduate of the Ignatian Spirituality Institute at John Carroll University and holds a BA in Theology and MA in Pastoral Ministry, both from Boston College. Pat is an independent spiritual director and retreat leader. Pat and wife Jeannie live in South Euclid and are members of Saint Malachi Parish.
