Food for the Journey

This program is for Spiritual Directors, Retreat Leaders, Pastoral Ministers and Those Who Have Made the Full Spiritual Exercises.

Study / Prayer Sessions based on "More Than You Could Ever Imagine: On Our Becoming Divine" (ISBN: 978-0-8146-4921-3) by Bernie Owens, SJ.

Come, join the gathered community as we engage conversation with Bernie Owens, SJ through his text, More Than We Could Ever Imagine: On Our Becoming Divine. What we are destined for in Christ and in the communion of saints is beyond what most can even begin to imagine. With the help of St. Paul, St. John of the Cross, St. Ignatius of Loyola, and Teilhard de Chardin, Rev. Bernie Owens provides an engaging sketch of our spiritual journey and a glimpse of what we shall become, both individually and as a human race, transformed in Christ.

These four study/prayer sessions are designed to enrich our personal spiritual deepening for ministry. Our gatherings will include prayer (silent and communal), input, and faith-sharing, based on our prayerful reading of the text. To facilitate the process, chapter assignments will be communicated and should be read in advance. The only pre-requisite for participating in these sessions is a desire to embrace God in the whole of your life.

Program cost for the series is $120 due by September 18, 2021.

An early registration discount of $100 is available and is due by August 18, 2021.

Series will take place in the Main Chapel at Jesuit Retreat Center.
