Writing for Your Life: Starting a Journaling Practice

Writing for Your Life is an introduction to journal writing for personal growth. The act of writing focuses the mind and heart, and thus keeping a journal and writing regularly can lead to new insights, personal clarity, creative expressions, and even prayer. In short, journaling can enhance life!

During the sessions, we will first look at the basic guidelines for good journaling. We will work with a variety of writing prompts that can enable you to pay more attention to the flow and meaning of your life. Writing prompts such as Free Write, Life Questions, Poetry Starters, List-Making, and Letters Not Sent will be explored.

Presenter: Michael Reiling is a retired high school theology teacher who regularly does programs on contemporary spirituality from an evolutionary perspective. Mike also spent many years teaching Catholic social concerns, which included promoting the health of the environment and the planet.
