Ancient Practices for a Modern World

This retreat is now full. Sign up for the Lenten program!

As we enter into the season of Advent, come spend a day learning (or relearning) some ancient prayer practices to enhance your season of waiting.

Over the course of the day, you will be introduced to four practices – Christian Meditation, Lectio Divina, the Examen, and Walking toward God. Each of these practices is deeply rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition and can serve as a way to deepen your relationship with God.

During our time together, there will be presentations on each of these four prayer forms, time for individual practice and prayer, and group conversation. Bring your own personal experiences as well as an openness to try new things…

Cost includes continental breakfast and lunch.

Financial aid is available through the JRC Arrupe Fund. All participants will be required to pay the minimum deposit of $25 to attend the event. See below to apply, then check your email to complete your application.
