Join us in a four-week, everyday life journey of Ignatian Spirituality through “Week #3” and “Week #4” of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The Exercises are mediations, prayers, and contemplative practices developed by St. Ignatius and structured into four “weeks” or movements.
This 4-Week Ignatian Retreat, meeting covers the following movements of the Spiritual Exercises:
Weeks #1-2 Review: God’s Love, Loved Sinner, Healing, God’s Graces, the Kingdom, Courage & Faith.
Week #3: Mission & Discipleship with Jesus, Humility, Road to Jerusalem, Christ’s Passion and Death.
Week #4: The Resurrection, Road to Emmaus, Transformation, Contemplation to Attain Love.
This retreat requires the completion of an Ignatian retreat. For example, you have completed an 8-Day Ignatian Retreat or 7-Night JRC Retreat equivalent, or the 4-Week Ignatian Retreat: Weeks #1-2.
The 4-Week Ignatian Retreat: Weeks #1-2 is offered every Fall.
The 4-Week Ignatian Retreat: Weeks #3-4 is offered every Spring.
Completing two 4-Week Ignatian Retreats (Part 1 and Part 2) would be the equivalent of an 8-Week Ignatian Retreat in everyday life. Two 4-Week Ignatian Retreats fulfill a key requirement for the Spiritual Exercises 19th Annotation Retreat (offered every October at JRC) and for spiritual directors seeking certain credentials or professional/spiritual development.
Each Wednesday at 7pm EST via Zoom, we meet as a large group for prayer (10 mins), a presentation (30 mins), and we meet as a small group to share our week of prayer (40-50 mins). Each week, the retreatant meets with a retreat director for about 50 minutes (at a scheduled time agreed upon by the retreatant and their director).
