Come enjoy the beauty of God and His creation.
Experience the once-in-a-lifetime total eclipse on the meadow. The partial eclipse begins at 2:00 pm with totality to occur from 3:13pm to 3:17pm. The show concludes at 4:29pm.
Bring your own chair or blanket to sit in the meadow and watch the eclipse with others in the JRC community. Eclipse glasses will be provided for all those who sign up to attend. Bring your own snacks and beverages to enjoy. To ensure we have enough glasses for all in attendance, each person attending must be signed up ahead of the event.
In the Spiritual Exercises, St. Ignatius of Loyola says, “Consider all good things and gifts descend from above. For example, my limited power comes from the supreme and infinite power above, and so, too, justice, goodness, piety, mercy, and so forth – just as the rays come down from the sun…” Ignatius also frequently claimed to have seen Jesus Christ ‘as the sun’.
This is a free event.
