Join us for a time to learn how the earthen vessels of biblical times were crafted for sacred uses and for everyday life.

We will have the opportunity to view and see some replicas of ancient pottery and how they were used. We will also explore how the people of Jesus’ time understood and realized a deep connection to creation and the gifts that are given through creation to draw us closer to the Creator. We will consider how many of these gifts that have been given are not always visible, but are present for the purpose of healing, restoring and blessing us.

This is a beautiful time to reflect on the multitude of ways that God is present in ways we cannot fully perceive, and to have a time of peace and infilling before the hectic times of the holiday preparations and celebrations begin.

Liz Nau is a Spiritual Director with over 35 years’ experience leading retreats. She received her M.Div. from Ashland Theological Seminary and holds graduate certificates in Spiritual Direction from the Ignatian Spirituality Institute at John Carroll University, and Formational (Inner Healing) Prayer and Small Group Leadership in Inner Healing Prayer from the Institute of Formational Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary and is a Veriditas Certified Labyrinth Leader. Her interests are in Ignatian Spirituality, Celtic Christian Spirituality, the spiritual disciplines especially prayer (Ignation Contemplation, art as prayer, embodied prayer, prayer walking, silence) and pilgrimage. Each has been unique and transformative in her spiritual journey, and she welcomes the opportunity to share some of her experience and insight with others.
