Join us at Gesu Parish in University Heights for a Book Discussion Circle. For this gathering we will be discussing The Humility of God by Sister Ilia Delio, OFM.
This book is a powerful statement about who is the God that Jesus reveals. It is rooted in the mystical experiences of St. Francis of Assisi and shaped greatly by Franciscan spirituality and the theologies of St. Bonaventure (1274 AD) and Duns Scotus (d. 1308 AD).
Sub-themes of this fascinating study are the following: A Hidden God; the Humble Heart of God; God Humbly Bends Down; the Tears of God; the Face of God; the God who divinizes us; Christic Christians.
Our discussions promise to be a very meaningful way to make the most of our Lenten and Easter seasons.
Free will offering, with funds going towards JRC's Arrupe Scholarship Fund.
Minimum Number of Participants: 8
Please purchase your copy of the book and bring it to our first meeting.
