Join us for Mass on the feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
St. Ignatius was born in 1491 in the Basque region of Spain and died on July 31 in 1556. He was the founder of the Society of Jesus in 1540. He was beatified by Pope Paul V in 1609 and later canonized by Pope Gregory XV in 1622. A former Spanish soldier, Ignatius is the patron saint of military personnel and the Society of Jesus.
