Hesburgh is a recounting of the life and work of Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, Civil Rights activist from the 1950's to 70's and president of the University of Notre Dame for 35 years.
Father Ted played an important role in bringing opposing sides together and helping to create the foundations of what became the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This film also reflects his life as a priest who so loved being a priest and who lived with remarkable integrity as a Church leader.
