Discovering Wholeness - Discernment and the Enneagram

This retreat is now full.

“Why am I here?” and “What is my life’s purpose?” are some of the most important questions we face in our life’s journey. These questions ask us to look both into the depth our souls and to examine the world in which we live. The author, pastor, and theologian Frederick Buechner wrote “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep need meet.”

Whether you are facing life’s larger questions, exploring God’s movements in your life, or simply hoping to build a better toolbox for your discernment and decision making, this weekend is for you. You need to bring an open heart and inquiring mind and a willingness to be engaged both individually and as part of the group.

During the weekend, we will use the tools of Ignatian Spirituality and Discernment, insights from the Enneagram, and some wisdom from Parker Palmer to guide both our individual and group exploration. Through presentations, small and large group conversations, and time for individual reflection and prayer, each participant will have the opportunity to explore their unfolding place in the world.

Participants should have some basic knowledge of the Enneagram, including some sense of which Enneagram Type/Number they identify with. If you are interested in this weekend but do not have any background in the Enneagram, some pre-work and reading can be provided in advance.

This retreat is presented by Bill Hobbs, EdD, Director of the Jesuit Retreat Center, spiritual director, and certified Enneagram coach.

Registration includes room, 5 meals, and all materials.
