The Gift of Pilgrimage

This Lent, you are invited to join us in a 4 week program on the Gift of Pilgrimage.

We will consider some history, practices and intentions of pilgrimages from earliest times, and the importance of Pilgrimage as a spiritual discipline and means of growing more deeply in touch with God and ourselves as a Child of God.

Each week we will explore different elements and themes of pilgrimage, with examples from different places of traditional pilgrimage; the Holy Land, Ancient Greece in the footsteps of St. Paul, The Camino de Santiago de Compostela – The Way of St. James in Spain, and Celtic Christian pilgrim paths.

We will have the opportunity to experience some practices of pilgrimage in class each week, and at the end of the 4 weeks have the opportunity to embark on a one day local pilgrimage experience in the greater Cleveland area. This is a wonderful opportunity to consider pilgrimage during this Lenten season.

The Program meets on Monday evenings on March 6, March 13, March 27, and April 3, from 6:30-8:30pm.
