Join us and the Jesuit Midwest Provincial, Fr. Karl Kiser, SJ, as we begin the celebration of our 125th year.
On August 15, 1898, Fr. Theodore Von Rossum, SJ was named Rector and Novice Master of the newly opened Saint Stanislaus Novitiate in Parma, OH. Shortly thereafter, he opened the doors to laymen to have an experience of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius. For 125 years, the tradition of retreats has continued on these sacred grounds.
We come together today to give thanks for the blessings that have taken place at Saint Stanislaus Novitiate – Jesuit Retreat House – Jesuit Retreat Center since 1898. We honor the members of the Society of Jesus who have been formed here and served here. We celebrate the many women and men, religious and lay, who have been a part of and supported this ministry. And we look with joyful hope to a grace-filled future – Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam.
