This program is for spiritual directors, retreat leaders, pastoral ministers, and those who have completed the full Ignatian Spiritual Exercises.

Study / Prayer Sessions based on Every Earthly Blessing: Rediscovering the Celtic Tradition (ISBN: 0-8192-1806-55) by Esther de Waal, Anglican lay woman, writer and lecturer conducting retreats around the world.

Come, join the gathered community as we engage conversation with Esther de Waal through her text, Every Earthly Blessing: Rediscovering the Celtic Tradition. Introducing this book, Esther de Waal writes “I have written this book with one purpose and one hope, and that is that it will encourage others to discover for themselves some of the riches that I have myself found in the Celtic tradition. … Here we are given the opportunity to return to our roots, to come home to something that many of us find totally natural. … For those who are looking for whatever will help to make praying a natural part of living, take us beyond words and nourish our imaginations, and above all bring us a contemplative vision, the Celtic way opens many doors.”

These four study/prayer sessions are designed to enrich our personal spiritual deepening for ministry. Our gatherings will include prayer (silent and communal), input, and faith-sharing, based on our prayerful reading of the text. To facilitate the process, chapter assignments will be communicated and should be read in advance. The only pre-requisite for participating in these sessions is a desire to embrace God in the whole of your life.

Program cost for the series is $150 due by August 16th, 2023

Series will take place in the Main Chapel at Jesuit Retreat Center, Parma (5629 State Road) and/or via Zoom in the event an upsurge in Covid-19/variants.
