Virtual
Monday, October 16, 2023 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm EST
This virtual workshop invites us to engage in the most pressing moral issue of our time and to reflect on how we can do our part to promote the health of the planet. This is the “big, planetary picture” that Pope Francis, in Laudato Si’, invited Christians to consider and be engaged with.
Using the En-Roads Climate Simulator, we will consider 18 variables affecting climate change to explore our choices and inspire our action. En-Roads stands for Energy Rapid Overview and Decision-Support Climate Change Solutions Simulator. En-Roads is a comprehensive and highly researched program developed by the MIT Sloan School of Business and Climate Interactive. Regular updates happen several times a year.
The goal of this 90-minute workshop is to reduce climate change from its current projection of +3 Celsius to much safer 1.5 Celsius by 2100 through group deliberations.
Mike Reiling is a trained En-Roads facilitator who also does programs on personal journaling and the spirituality of Teilhard de Chardin.
