Friday, March 29, 2024 from 10:00am - 11:00am
The Stations of the Cross (also known as the Way of the Cross) were created in the Middle Ages so that Catholics and Christians could commemorate the final hours and journey of Jesus. Each station marks a moment or event in the “via dolorosa” – the way of sorrows that Jesus followed on the way to his death at Calvary.
We invite you to come on Good Friday and pray the Stations with us. The Jesuit Retreat Center Stations are located at the rear of our property surrounding the Jesuit Cemetery, the final resting place for more than 100 members of the Society of Jesus.
We will gather in the JRC parking lot at 9:45 am and walk to the Stations (accessible by asphalt walking path) at the rear of the center’s 57 wooded acres. Booklets will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. In the event of inclement weather, the Stations will take place in the JRC Main Chapel.
This is a free event. No registration is required.
