Women’s Retreat

This retreat offers 4 days of prayer, meditation, daily Mass, discussion and relaxation along with powerful presentations.

Our speakers this year are excited to share with you their perspectives on peace as it guided or challenged their lives and their spirituality. They are:

Sister Christine Schenk, CSJ, an award-winning author of two books on women and the Church and the co-founder of Future Church, a national Catholic organization which studies and advocates in the area of lay ministries. Chris is also a columnist for the “National Catholic Reporter.” She will address Peace in Faith Issues.

Sister Diana Pinchot, OSU, a local, professional artist and retired art professor form Ursuline College. She is well-known for her artwork and maintains a gallery in Article Studios in Cleveland. She is recognized for her work in contemplative spirituality and the impact it has in advocacy. She served a prison term for her part in protesting the School of Americas and through that experience became an advocate for incarcerated women. She will speak to Peace and Advocacy in the World.

And then there is by popular demand, Miguel Chavez, Vice President of Mission and Ministry for the Sisters of Charity Health Care System in Cleveland. Miguel is completing his doctoral studies through St. Mary School of Theology in Cleveland. Miguel and his twin brother are wonderful musicians who entertain throughout the presentation. A husband and father of three, Miguel will speak to Peace in Our Families, Even with Those Alienated From Us.

Father Bernie Owens, SJ, will celebrate Mass for us. He brings a wealth of experience which we know you will benefit.
