Join us in a four-week, everyday life journey of Ignatian Spirituality through “Week #1” and “Week #2” of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The Exercises are meditations, prayers, and contemplative practices developed by St. Ignatius and structured into four “weeks” or movements.
This 4-Week Ignatian Retreat covers the follow movements of the Spiritual Exercises:
Week #1: God’s unconditional love for us, healing, being a loved sinner, total forgiveness.
Week #2: Greater freedom, discipleship, knowing and walking with Jesus more intimately.
The 4-Week Ignatian Retreat Weeks #1-2 is offered every Fall.
The 4-Week Ignatian Retreat Weeks #3-4 is offered every Spring.
Completing two 4-Week Ignatian Retreats (Part 1 and Part 2) would be the equivalent of an 8-Week Ignatian Retreat in everyday life. Two 4-Week Ignatian Retreats fulfill a key requirement for the Spiritual Exercises 19th Annotation Retreat (offered every October at JRC) and for spiritual directors seeking certain credentials or spiritual development.
Overall, this Ignatian retreat in everyday life is ideal for anyone seeking to explore or deepen one’s relationship with God and take the next step in one’s spiritual journey.
Each Wednesday at 7pm via Zoom, we meet as a group for prayer (10 mins), a presentation (30 mins), and we share the graces from our week of prayer (40-50 mins). Each week, the retreatant meets with a retreat director for about 45-60 minutes (at a scheduled time agreed upon by the retreatant and their retreat director).
The retreat is a significant investment of time and energy for both the retreatant and the director.
A person applying to make the retreat must meet the following conditions:
This retreat requires a full commitment of dedicated prayer (must pray 45-60 mins a day), a full commitment of participation (must attend all sessions), and an application. Please email the Director of Ignatian Mission & Identity, Fr. Paul O’Connor, SJ, for questions, an application, and details: poconnor@jesuitretreatcenter.org
Our presenters, Fr. Paul O’Connor, S.J. and our JRC Retreat Directors guide us through this transformative experience.
Cost: $210
This retreat closes with the first 12 accepted applications.
