A Word from the Director
Even as we go forth in service to God’s people, we know the need for our own spiritual grounding and renewal. Don’t miss Pegge Erkeneff ’s reflection on landscapes that support spiritual grounding for ministry. (See page 2.) Here is where our ministries are taking us this fall:
Praying with St. Ignatius Parish Retreats. On September 10th , two retreat teams were commissioned to serve in two diocesan parishes this fall: Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Euclid began this 8-week retreat on Monday, September 22nd . Blessed Trinity Parish, Cleveland welcomed the retreat this past Tuesday, September 30th. 68 retreatants will be participating.
Nurturing the Call. Martha Campbell and Janet Lehane will once again team up to offer a learning process to the Leaders/Facilitators of the Praying with St. Ignatius and the St Ignatius & Walsh Jesuit Spirituality Program for Adults. See page 2 for details. Still time to register! Deadline: October 6th
Food for the Journey. Spiritual directors, retreat leaders, pastoral ministers and those who have made the full Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola will gather for this three-session fall book reflection group on Saturday mornings: October 11th , November 8th and December 6th. We will reflect on the process of conversion as seen in the life of a contemporary spiritual leader, Karen Armstrong. Details on page 2.
Ignatian Spirituality Collaborative of Northeast Ohio. The September meeting of the ISC was hosted at 2907 Church Street, the office home of the Ignatian Spirituality Project and the Ignatian Volunteer Corps. Representatives from the following organizations participated: Gesu Parish, Jesuit Retreat House, Ignatian Spirituality Institute, Ignatian Spirituality Project, Ignatian Volunteer Corps, Spirituality Program for Adults at St. Ignatius High School and Spirituality Program for Adults at Walsh Jesuit High School.
