Dear Friend of Jesuit Retreat House,

We are entering another special season at JRH in the movement from a beautiful summer into the fall. We are ever grateful for the unending inspiring stories of God's grace in the lives of our retreatants. This summer we had a growing number of people making silent directed retreats including five 30-day retreatants from across the eastern US and Canada. One noted "I have been to many other retreats houses and this place really fosters the retreat experience well." A retreatant commented on her retreat earlier this summer: "It was the highlight of the best summer of my adult life." And another: "I've been to a number of JRH programs and always take away great treasures."

We enter this new season with much hope as we build the vision and dream for our time with the construction of our new addition and the subsequent renovation. We are taking further steps in developing the public phase of our capital campaign, To Journey, To Build, To Profess. Entering the public phase means that much work has been done by our core volunteers to help us reach this very important milestone. More than $5.3 million or 67% or our $8 million goal has been raised. As we celebrate our remarkable achievements to date, we extend our deepest thanks to our generous donors who are making the dream possible. Those who contributed to our capital campaign are listed inside along with all of our donors in the past year who sustain the life of JRH.

We are fully aware of the challenging road that lies ahead, and the hard work to complete the campaign in a timely fashion. There are opportunities for more generous donors to leave a lasting mark which will enable JRH to better serve so many more people of every generation. We ask for your prayers because the power of prayer will impact our effort more than we will ever know. Secondly, we ask for you to visit JRH, to see and feel for yourself why and how this sacred space provides an inspiring setting for thousands of people "to find God in all things." Finally, please open your hearts to the opportunity to bring this vision and dream to fruition. We welcome and look forward to conversations with you about your support for our campaign. Your contribution will make a lasting difference for JRH and all who benefit from this life-giving place and its outreach.

God be with you,

Richard S. Krivanka, Executive Director
