Dear Friend of Jesuit Retreat Center,
Great news! With this newsletter, we are sharing some exciting changes - a new name, a new logo and a new mission statement. These changes are part of a strategic plan completed by our Board and staff to guide us into this new era, building upon our 120-year legacy.
We are changing our name from Jesuit Retreat House to Jesuit Retreat Center (JRC), recognizing that "Center" more fully captures the breadth and meaning of our mission and ministry in this time. With this new name comes a fitting new logo! And website changes are planned.
In our planning we also discerned a revision to our Mission Statement as follows:
Jesuit Retreat Center provides opportunities for reflection, prayer, and discernment,Rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Inspired by the spirituality of St. Ignatius, Centered in a beautiful sacred setting, To help all people respond to God's loving invitation in their lives.
More exciting news...a very generous anonymous donor is making a $750,000 gift with the intent to raise matching funds that together will carry us over the $8 million goal to complete this Capital Campaign. Thanks be to God for this incredible gift and for all who can offer their support to provide the matching funds! Please prayerfully consider how you can best express your care and support for JRC in this time with a gift. An envelope is also included in this newsletter.
